Naze? (Why?)

“Aaahhh!!!!!!! What a beautiful day…!!!” says Megumi happily after comes out from the water closet. She finally can throw out her “trash” after 3 days couldn’t even feel the gripes. Megumi is a 2^nd year college student in Oosaka that has a digestion problem. She rarely can go to the water closet to do what every normal person does twice a day. She has been trying to do anything she can do by herself. She never told that to anyone because she doesn’t want anyone to worry about her problem.

“Megumi-chan!!! There’s a letter for you!!! I left it on the table!!! I’ll go first to the campus!!! Ja ne*!!” says Shiba. She is Megumi’s friend in college and in boarding house. They live together since their first year in college.

“Ne, arigatou!!!” says Megumi. After 15 minutes, finally she comes out from her room and goes to find out the letter. Her finger is playing her dark long straight hair while walking to the table. And then, she opens the letter and starts to read it. Suddenly her small eyes becoming bigger like it will jump out from its place. She bites her small lips holding her fear and the scream that was already hard to hold. There’s something in this beautifully enveloped letter that make her scared. The others will think that it’s from her boyfriend because of its pink color and the heart shape that the sender drew besides Megumi’s name. But it doesn’t give any good impression for Megumi. That kind of good perspective that the envelope and the heart shape given is blown up because of the sender’s name, ‘Chinen’.

Megumi falls down with her trembling body. Her chubby cheeks suddenly passed by her tears. ‘Why?! Why he sent me letter again?! Why?!’ thinks Megumi. It’s been 3 months since the last letter that she always received every day from Chinen. And it’s been 6 months since the 1^st letter. Chinen is one of her friends from senior high school. He used to be her good friend. He has an angelic face and cheerful personality. He was always there when Megumi needed him. But he is someone that can always do anything to get what he wants, even if he has to lie or do something bad. After the high school graduation he moved to a city that no one knows where is the exact location is. They haven’t met each other since then. Since a week after his moving, Megumi received letters from him. It’s always from a different location but the same sender.

Megumi was happy when she receives the 1^st letter. But after she received the 7^th letter, she already realized that Chinen somehow looks like he knew too much, as much as to assume that he has been spying her. In every letter that he sent, he always told her a story that somehow tells about her life on that day with a different setting and actor but the same plot and act. It was nothing bad at the first time, but day by day, people around her has started to stay away from her because if they hurt her even just a simple thing, at the night they will get terror from someone until they apologize to Megumi. It hurts Megumi when people look at her like they saw a jinx.

1 week before the letter stopped 3 month ago, Megumi was starting to easily get collapsed but nobody help her instead of Shiba. And then after that situation suddenly 3 month ago the letter stopped. After the letter stopped, Megumi had been starting to recover her relationship between her friends, and 2 months ago she got a new friend named Yamada. They met accidentally because of Megumi’s wrong in recognizing person.

Yamada is a good man. He is easy going and friendly, somehow his personality looks like Chinen, but he has something that makes him totally different from Chinen. Yamada is honest, straight-forward, and consistence on the decision that he has made. Megumi likes that kind of personality that Yamada has. As the time goes by they start to love each other, and 3 days ago Yamada confessed his feeling to Megumi, so now they are dating.

Megumi’s life is going smoothly until today suddenly she received that letter.

How are you? It’s been 3 months since my last letter take a visit to your house right? Do you miss me? Well, I hope so, because I do miss you here. :)

Well, I have a story for you today. It’s kind of miserable, but it’s ok, I think it’s a good story. So, don’t stop until it has finished, ok?

One day, there is a princess named Venus and her slave named Pluto. Pluto has always been taking care of the princess. He always tries to protect her with all his might even though everyone around him is complaining about his way of protecting the princess. He just wants to protect her. But then the princess seems troubled by his way of protecting her, and then he tried to stop that way and tried to being calm and considered the princess’ condition. But in his absence, suddenly come a man that caught the princess’ heart. The slave now is left behind. He is forgotten. But he won’t seat back. He will play his role again and getting back what he used to has.
